Joe's friends told Diana Dawn that she reminded Joe of his late wife "Norma Jean" aka "Marilyn Monroe"
Joe asked Diana to hostess his Joe DiMaggio Invitational the same year and other offers followed.
Joe DiMaggio asked Diana for a date and brought her a bottle of Champagne as a way of saying thank you for her being at his Tournament, and she still bubbles over with joy thinking about it to this day.
Marilyn Monroe & Joe DiMaggio, were married in San Francisco, California in January of 1954, sadly just 9 months later they filed for divorce on October 27th... Ironically Diana was born on that same day, four years later.
